Delete contacts from Gmail
There are many ways to delete contacts from Gmail, but not all of them are efficient or effective.
Depending on how many contacts you’re trying to delete and what kinds of Gmail accounts you have, the process can be much more complex than you expect it to be!
But don’t worry—with these tips, you’ll find that deleting contacts from Gmail doesn’t have to be difficult.
The basics
To get started with deleting your contact list, go to Settings > Labels in your Gmail account. The option to Delete all of my labels will appear at the top.
You’ll want to make sure that you check all labels that you want to be removed before checking
Delete all of my labels; when you’re done, click on it and then follow through with your decision by clicking on Yes, delete these labels in both instances.
Narrowing down
Before you even get started, go through your list of contacts and cross off anyone you have no desire to remain in contact with.
Now that we’ve taken care of that part, it’s time to start cleaning out your inbox. We already talked about how deleting messages one at a time is tedious and inefficient. But there are a few other ways
Review your list
Before you go about deleting your list, it’s important to make sure you’re not accidentally deleting someone important.
One way to do that is by going through your list and looking for people with a personal message next to their name (the small text under Inbox at the very top of your screen.)
These are people you have emailed directly or those who emailed you—people who probably wouldn’t mind if they didn’t hear from you again.
Delete the ones you don’t need anymore
If you don’t need a certain email contact in your Gmail account, remove it. It’s easy to do. Hover over that person’s name and click More actions, then Delete.
If there are many people on your list, bulk editing will make things easier for you—look for an icon that says select all, which is often in bold lettering on top of all your contacts.
Add contacts to Gmail
By default, only your email address is linked to your Google account. If you want people to be able to contact you via email, but you don’t have their addresses, it’s simple: You can send an invitation link that gives them access.
But if you already have all of their contact information and just want them added, here’s how: Sign in and click Contacts on the left side of Gmail.
Using Google Contacts or organizing contacts in the iPhone's settings doesn't thrill many users. These approaches are useful for locating and modifying information, but they are restricted. Canary may be a better app for organizing contacts and email for you.
The canaries for Mac is just a native program that enables end-to-end email encryption and helps you to properly filter, organize and navigate your email inbox. Canary provides the ability to examine contact profiles, manage read receipts, and snooze emails.
A contact view is available on the right of the page, which displays all of that person's information as well as the opportunity to immediately 'like' them.
